If it's cheap I'd buy it and try it. You can always sell it on if you don't like it.
Benefits-
Stays in tune (no linkages in there between the throats, no needles to wear, no throttle shaft wear)
Weber `music'
Easy to remove/replace (5 mins or less, try that with yer twin HS4s on the manifold with the heatshield)
Throttle response
Downsides-
Fuel economy, but not too bad if you jet it for the road using an A/F meter.
Limited manifold choices without a Weber box in the firewall (PLEASE don't buy a Lynx tall gooseneck one)- a Redline/Warneford 3005 is the best available that fits with a filter.
