Very nice. I came across the remains of a factory black Deluxe a couple of years ago. Unfortunately it was beyond being a car.

What condition is the rest of the car in? Can you tell what colour is up under the wheel arches? In the 'Incredible 850' brochure the black car has white wheel arches.

I heard somewhere that black cars where given better preparation when new due to the colour showing imperfections. Is that true?

What sort of panels did you need? It would be a sham to cut up what seems to be a rare car, but then it may only be in a condition suitable for that use?

No offence mate but......STOP CUTTING UP GOOD MINIS seriously new panels can be brought for a few hundred dollars, you can not buy a new 850!

I believe black minis are rare in any model range and seeing as there are less and less 850's every year this one probable is worth restoring to factory appearance at least (just imagine a worked/forced induction 850 donk in a black sleeper) if not a complete factory spec resto 8) .

Over all that is a big vote for saving it.

Post up some pics of the complete car, sills, front and rear floor pans, boot floor and all the other sections that look troublesome to you and the ausmini collective can give you a better idea on what may need to be done to fix up the black 850.
Alternatively you could put it up for sale so someone else can pour money into it and you could use the cash to buy the replacement panels you need for your other mini.
Also like what mini_fanatic said, what panels do you need? you may not have them lying around in your shed but someone else out their may have exactly what you need.

That's alright mate, I have a parcel shelf from a mid 60's mini in my shed but the distance is a bit far, put an ad in the "wanted" section.
