Post subject:  Bad habits.
At most lights I coast up in 4th clutch in upon stopping change into 1st and hold it till they go green. Bad habit or not?

Anyway what do you do that mightn't be the best for ur ride?

^^^ Good recipe for wearing out the clutch release bearing (which are not as well made now), And also the engine's thrust washers, if you have a HD clutch in it.
I leave mine in neutral until the cross lights change to orange.

That used to be frowned upon, but it was back when the clutch release bearing was just a carbon(?) block. Modern release bearings can easily cope, plus in the micro second it takes to put it in gear when the light turns green, the dick in the taxi behind you will be on the horn. :)

Always sit in neutral until light turns green. Clutch bearings are not the same as they used to be. :wink:

Always sit at the lights in neutral clutch disengaged why put pressure on things when it's not required.

I leave it in first with my foot on the clutch, letting it hit its rev limiter at 8000rpm, until lights go green, and the Traffic light grandprix starts...... nah, just joking.. leave it in netrual and wait..

I was overseas and it was odd that many countries have traffic lights that sit at red, then go orange for 1-3 seconds then green. Everyone would start rolling at orange, it was kinda like races for a lot of them haha.

In Vietnam in the busy cities you get a countdown to green.

In India they have a count down but no one pays any attention

I loved the countdown, especially because I rode a motorcycle around Asia. I knew exactly how long I had to lane split to reach the front and not get stuck half way.

Yeah as stated above, I just leave it in neutral till the lights go green.
