Post subject: | Headliner and Pillar Coverings... |
Hi All, Does the A Pillar normally have a piece of cardboard with headlier fabric covering it? Most of the headliners i've seen around to buy only come with the headliner, C Pillar covers and a bit for blow the rear window. also... does anyone have a template and / or dimensions for the cardboard that is used to stiffen the material for the C Pillar covering? Thanks! |

Minis from factory has no material on the A and B pillars, but if you have the offcuts it does look quite good to do it. |

English Coopers came from the factory with the same vinyl covering on the A pillars as the dash top.... Cheers, Ian |

Any chance you'd have a picture of the a pillar on one of these? I'm thinking of covering the A-Pillar on my clubby in the same way as the C Pillar but im not sure exactly how to do it / what it will end up looking like. |

Post subject: | A Pillars covering |
A pillars look neater covered in Vinyl. I also glue a strip of thin 1/4" medium density Foam on the pillar first then I use a nice Black Vinyl. Only glue the vinyl to the pillar not the foam. It sits neater. leave the edge long enough to wrap around under the windscreen and door rubber. |

Thanks for this idea, I was going to use card like the C Pillar but this sounds like a better idea. about how wide do you make the foam strip? |
