My uni centre needs replacement. Are the current aftermarket centres and bearings OK quality?

All the recent talk of quality replacement parts makes me uneasy.

Kc has GHB ones for under $20, they are better than most. They might also have cheapo ones but why save a coupla bux on something like this....

I'm in the market shortly also... I have seen some rubber centers that are meant to reduce noise??

Also I am finding it hard to find the bearings that fit on the end of each barb.... Am I looking in the wrong place or are they listed under something else on the usual mini supplier sites
Thanks

If you mean the hardy spicer universals as above, then the bearings are supplied with the uni joint when you buy them. they're all machined and matched to each other, so its unwise to replace the needle rollers on their own.

I think it is the same.... The ends for into a plastic bracket then all held together by 4 u bolts

It's from a 1971 clubman

These ones. I think they're NLA now? I thought I saw someone making them however for ridiculous prices.

So the ones you buy now online... Hardey spicer.... Will fit into a 1971 clubman joint??

If I recall when I took it apart there were no locking tabs like the new listed ones have

I know they sound like simple questions but I'm still learning !!
Cheers
