Radiator shroud is usually rubber.

Depends on the size of the gap you're trying to bridge.
The minis in the 1980s just used sponge: sometimes 3 inches wide from the body to the radiator!

With a setup I'm working on at the moment I'm using neoprene / sponge rubber in the tighter spots, and pinchweld on the end of some sheet steel for the big spots.

I've even cut it from rubber sheet in a pinch and its not available in your width you're after.

The stock mini rad shrouds do work well however and stay fitted once they're in.
