Can anyone enlighten me to whether all the 998 Coopers sold in Oz prior to the introduction of the Oz built 998 motor prefixed 9Y/U/H, were low compression, prefixed 9F/Sa/L or were there were any high compression units, ie motors prefixed 9F/Sa/H. Any infromation would be appreciated |

All early 998 Coopers had the low compression UK engine ,prefix 9Fa/SA/L , the Aussie assembled ones had the high compression Aussie built motor ,prefix 9Y/SA/H |
