My clubby doesnt have any back seat belts,its a 72.Is this legal and if not can someone tell me of a good mini mechanic near sydney,i also seem to be useing a greater amount of fuel than i had expected,is this normal ror twin 1:4 carbys.Any ideas on mods would be good to,thanks ![]() |

If it's standard equipment for a Mini to have no rear seatbelts in 1972, then it is perfectly legal. |

i have 2 72 clubbies and both have rear belts. Look in the boot to see if you have the holes in the parcel tray for the bolts. If so then go grab some belts from a wreck or new ones from a mini spares place. |

Your clubby should have belts in the rear, i'd buy them new, they're not worth THAT much. They are not that hard to replace either.. As for fuel economy, I get about ~250km's from a single tank on a fairly modified 1152cc... |

Beefa is a 72 model and he has seatbelts in the rear. Im surprised yours doesnt ![]() However I am buying retractables to put in the front, a lot more legal then the tied front drivers seatbelt that I have at the moment ![]() ![]() |

remember its a samll tank i get a fair bit of milage out of Vivian, could of had her hahaha Jokes mate Nah maybe its out of tune or soemin. and a 72 SHOULD have rear belts. as for mechanics, apparently Mini classic is good? Mini clinic? never used them (or anyother) My dad is the mechanic at my house, ![]() |

I was told rear belts (lap) were mandatory fitment (in NSW anyhow) from January, 1971. My 3/70 car doesn't have them. ![]() So I improve performance by not carrying people in the back... ![]() |

26L usually, though you can get 32L ones or something like that. |
