Decided to replace my rings and big ends while i have my engine out and box off. Its a 1380 which runs a fairly high compression. Just wanting some suggestions on good brands etc. |

Depends what brand and model the pistons are, as their ring widths are not all the same. Not all ring brands fit all pistons.... I've had no probs with Hastings, or Nippon ringsets (Used on GR's pistons). |

Just pulled the pistons out. Here are some pictures. Can anyone identify them? Receipts just say 73mm pistons. Sorry about poor pictures ![]() ![]() ![]() |

definitely are Hypatecs. You can use Hastings rings (from Karcraft, Minis Plus or Minisport.au) or Nippon rings (from Russell Engineering). |
