Post subject:  What's this under my bonnet?

Appears to be a 3 way position switch with a wire going to a square panel on the body seperate to the rest of the cars wiring cluster.

the moke doesn't have one of these and doesn't seem to be covered in the manual??

(yes i'm aware they didnt cover stuff properly when they sprayed.. got lght specks on my windshield that need removing and various other parts).

Never seen one on any mini's. Follow the wires and see where they leed?

It may be a temp adjustment for a thermal fan if you have one fitted.

Hmmm the switch is soldered to a circuit board....alarm??? wiper dwell??

maybe if you flick it in the middle its you everyday moke. flick it up and the floor detaches and its the flinstones mobil, and flick it down then its the batman mobil :shock: .

Maybe it used to have an under-bonnet light????

I remember on a friends car, the pervious owner (a grandpa) had a 25W indicator globe mounted to the bonnet bracing, with a switch in the engine bay.

Not really a dumb idea..... unless you accidently leave it on overnight.. :roll:
