Post subject:  Tyres

Hello All;
Has anyone recently purchased 10 inch tyres from any of the larger tyre stores. I am about to buy 4 and wondering where to purchase . These are for a daily driver.
Thanks,

I got the standard 145 Falkens from Bob Jane - around $85-90 from memory

They will probably need to be ordered in for next day fitting?

Bob Jane ordered Yokohama a008's for me over night. $130 fitted.

That was earlier this year.

What is the preferred 10 inch tyre these days? Been a long time since I have 10 inch rims but I am thinking of going back to them.

I went to friend of a friend that runs a yoko seller and he happily got in the a008's next day for me.

Seem to be pretty good tyres.

A032Rs grip well but wear too fast for a daily driver. Gafmo has already flung his off the van and fitted A008s.

This is at Wollongong Bob Jane. They seem to be fine with all the various things I've needed over the past 3 years

They are a street legal race tyre. OK for a car on historic plates or one that gets seldom driven, but a waste of $$$ on a daily driver, IMO.

How about the Falkens? (SN-807 or FK-07E) Anyone running them? How do the fare on Aussie road conditions compared to the yoko's?

I have the Falken FK-07E on the front. They have been on for 12 months. Seem to be wearing well. Good in the wet as well.
I have had Falken FX-07A on the back for a few years. They seem a little softer than the fronts.

That's what I have on mine now (SN-807). Grip is ok, life is good so far. Definitely more suited to a daily driver than to a weekend racer
