matt,,,, that 350hp was made at the wheels,,, mark the dyno operator said the flywheel hp would be close to 420hp,, all this was done with no NOS and only 21psi.

That is a fair whack of power to loose through the drive train isn't it ?

not having a go at anyone but I had the impression the mini lost about 15hp or something by the time it got to the wheels I would have thought that a modern drive train would do better.

I don't anything about this stuff, just asking questions.

Or is it more of a percentage figure of the engine power at the flywheel ?

either way Baracades beast is gonna scare the S@$T outta anything that comes near it, hell I find the thought of it scarey let alone seeing or driving it

Oh and Nitrious to come !!!!

fuzzy,, hp and torque figures on a chassis dyno have a few varibles when going from tyre to flywheel... The main thing is gear ratios, if a close ratio box was fitted to a motor that ran a standard box/clutch then without touching anything else it would tun up more hp and torque.
The gear and diff ratios that has been fitted to baracades motor are massive, 3rd gear will get you over 200kph easy, so mark said that it would suffer more hp loss thru it, around 20% hence the ~420hp figure.

This motor will run up 500hp im pretty confident with more boost and 50hp shot of NOS. Would be good to see a 4efte 4WD box built to handle the power and bolted upto it in a mini,, hey dean (baracade) what you think mate :D

On another note at our dyno day we had the best NA a series motor there 1400cc graham russell engine ran up 75hp@wheels, think the owner said it had 120hp@flywheel.
