Have just called Stuckey's in Brunswick but they've got none in stock and none on order.

Trying to source a set of 4 for my bro's mini as his are knackered.

Does anyone know a good source for these tyres In Melbourne? Preferably not in Heidelberg, if I can avoid it!

hey champ i think there was a post on the forum about these tyres not to long ago.

from what ive been told from a distributor for my work they wont be bringing them in anymore and they are based in melbourne that supply sydney and SA.

look around you might find a tyre store carrying them as old stock

hope this helps.

Yeah, I went to Bob Janes today for a couple of new tyres.I was after the Dunlops or Yokos A008.I got told no more Dunlops & theres a couple of months wait on the Yokos.
I ended up ringing up Minisport and they had a set of Yokos left so I grabbed 2.I didn't ask about the Dunlops.

its a sad day to have 10"'s but im gonna call the yoka headoffice to get a set from the warehouse cause ive noticed that some place will say it is a months wait when its actually 1 day. try to remember that some places dont realise what they have in stock especially if they dont sell it often.

happens to us all the time. today i found 4x 155r13 marshalls in a corner that was covered by a another stack of 4wd tyres that hardly get sold.

I've been PM'ed about some in SA, so they're about.

When I spoke to Stuckey's today Michael there said they had R7s in stock, but no D93Js. He said they regularly order production of 30 sets at a time every few months but none had been ordered since last October for some reason....of which he didn't know and was a little bit baffled about. I might give them a call again tomorrow and see if they've found out any more.

As per Doogies reply, my brother has ordered a set of D93Js from Garys Motorsport. $125 each, plus freight to country Victoria. It's a pity we couldn't ge them locally, but them's the breaks. Considering the last set have lasted him at least 5 years, I wouldn't expect he'll need to order again any time soon.

Hi all,

I am looking to buy some new tyres, these will be pretty much track day tyres with a little road use too but not much.
I have used on the road A008's and was more than happy with them, i also used them once at wakefield and was also pretty happy with them.
although i am now considering 32r's, Hoosiers or dunlop Formula R's.

does anyone have a good comparison on them for me?
are the Dunlops just a sporty street tyre like the A008 or are they up with the 32 and Hoosiers?
Prices i have found are
A008 125ea
Dunllop 138ea
AO32R 213ea
Hoosier - not sure who sells them, i think you can get them through Rocket industries but i will have to look further into this - can n e one help?

Grant

Formula R's should be $125 from Gary's motorsport tyres at Arndell Park.

Hoosier's can be bought from Gordon Leven tyres at Emu Plians/Penrith area, not dure of their price.

Hi all, I figured best to resurrect this thread than start yet another tyre thread

I was asking at my local tyre store in suburban Sydney this week about pricing on D93Js. They looked them up for me and made a couple of phone calls (I think to Gary's Motorsport Tyres and then to Dunlop Tyres' office), supposedly there is no stock currently available and no expected date for new stock to arrive in Australia. Which apparently means a batch might turn up in a few months or never :(

I don't need tyres immediately and this is my first time seeking out D93Js, but can anyone shed some more light on this from their own experiences? Is it simply a matter of Dunlop Australia not seeing a viable market, or is there a bigger issue? I know they are still produced in Japan and readily available for sale there. If I can't find them locally I might even start seriously looking into sourcing some from Japan, although that would be a longer term, more laborious proposition.
