Hey Everyone, Im hoping for a little advice, This morning a fella pulled a u turn in front of me and, well I couldn't stop in time. Im pretty knocked around but ok, However insurance company called already and mentioned it might be a write off however Id like the chance to have it fixed. Anyone know any good (mini friendly) places in Melbourne hopefully South Eastern or near city? Appologies for the image size, Im at work and not much access. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Nah no one hurt luckily, The fella that was driving in front of me pulled to the left (I thought he was parking) and then he swerved to do a u turn. Thats when I had nowhere to to and t boned him. All is ok as police said im not at fault, but Im just upset about the car. |

I was quoted $16-17.5k to fix mine which has similar damage to yours. Here is a pic I opted to start over with the same cash from insurance and sell the wreck. Good luck with fixing it if you do go down that path. ![]() |

At least you got cops on the scene. Sorry to see/hear. Best of luck finding a repairer. |

Looking at that pic of Dannys is making me think I need a big plastic insulator on that positive battery terminal! Sorry about the car Mono - it'll be hard to get an insurance mob to take care of that for you, best thing you could do (goes for any classic car) is retain the vehicle and get any payout money you can and organise the repair yourself. You can source replacement parts to save the cost of someone else doing it, and just farm out the paint and panel work to a shop. |

Is he the one that did Grints races car after he rolled it? If not, and if you need a second opinion, give Toby a call at Mini Spares and Repairs at Seaford and he can tell you who has been doing all his minis lately if that is any help. Toby is on 9786-0277, good luck. |

least with these cars you can pretty much replace the whole front end with new panels. hope it goes well fixing her up or if it comes to it buying another & putting all the good bits on the new body |

Glad to hear you're ok and nobody hurt. As much as I love minis, I hazard a guess that they score a negative ANCAP rating. Good luck with the repairers and I hope you don't have any trobles with the insurance. I know of a good guy out west if you would like the details. Again, glad no one was hurt, that's the main thing! |

That looks pretty nasty, if its just panels it won't be too bad but if It's done subframe suspension and engine damage then you might be struggling, remember minis aren't like most cars with bolt on front ends so they're seriously labour intensive Just looking at the photos again, has it deformed the a pillar? If so that's a biiiig job |
