Hey All,

Finally, the last of many things in order to get RWC is get some arches on as the wheels are poking out. I have some Group 2 (1.75 inch) wheel arches received from the UK and held them up to the car on the weekend to have a look. No where near close....

To those who have fitted these, have you cut away the guard underneath? I notice that these sit quite high on the car. I will not be cutting away the guard under any circumstance and i would like to get other peoples 2c worth on their experience in fitting these.

If anyone has any pics of their Group 2 arch's (especially underneath them) that would be great if they could post.

Cheers all.

Dave

My car had those arches on it, you're right they do sit high - but no higher than the original guards when viewed from the side.
I've since swapped to sportspacks, and some of the holes for mounting the group 2s are still visable over the sportspacks!
None of the guard underneath was cut away, but it was visable.

Thanks for the response Harley, good to know about the guards under. Will probably spray them matt black if they stick out to much.

I have group 2's on my mini

I bent the front of the front wheel arches out further because my wheels wouldn't fit otherwise.

But the flares don't sit right on the guard lip, they sit much higher on the guard.

Once they are bolted on you cant tell that the guards are still underneath, they are covered by the flare.

here is a picture of my car with group 2's. best one I have already uploaded, but you get the picture :D
