Just a question, the Original Oil cooler pipes were the same as the MG oil pipes, Ie the outer sheathing?? Obviously they are the to long, but is the pipe the same? Cheers BRett |

They look very similar, and perform the exact same function, but the Cooper S hose is swaged differently, and has a copper crimp. Also Cooper S hosed do not have an angled fitting on the oil filter end. As well of course, as you pointed out, the hoses are different length. Cooperized did something interesting last month. He used heat shrink to cover a set of braided hoses, and then cut and shrunk on a thin yellow band of heat shrink to provide the finishing touch. It looks quite good. |

Thanks Mick, so hypothetically, if I had a nos MG set, and got Pertek to change the fittings, is should be doable? |

But the swages that the assembler would do would depend on the machine he uses. The Cooper hoses had a very fluid swage, whereas most modern machines leave a faceted crimp. |
