You can get a rubber end for the power leads that covers the individual terminals, same as a battery terminal. |

Maybe just turn it upside down so the terminals aren't exposed? Cheers Jacob |

Post subject: | Rubber Boot |
The Original battery cable used to have a rubber Boot on it but they are always very hard and brittle to move from one cable to another Probably a visit to a wrecking yard will get yourself one off a later model car which will be soft and usable. You can try and re use an old one by soaking it in boiling water to soften it then slip it of old cable and on to new one. Make sure you disconnect battery before you attempt this. Good luck. |

I always find that once you pull back the old boot to undo the nut they are so stuff that they are pretty well impossible to get back over the terminal again. The always end up pulled back up the cable. You can get modern ones that are a sort of silicone material that would probably stay soft. Tim |

I just got a new battery cable made up at Battery World. They have those plastic blister packs with nice new and soft terminal covers. One red and one black per blister pack. Cheap as chips. I actually can't recommend Battery World in Albion enough, they were very helpful making my cable that is actually 2 with room for a battery isolator in line. |
