Well it's got me.
The moke has decided not to play the game.
It has fuel, it has spark and it's now on the charger again because it just wont start.
What else should I be checking?
Am I missing something obvious?

will it fire with some startyabastard?

if so, drain the tank & carb and put fresh fuel in it

Yeah Simon, I should have said, it'll fire with Aerostart but only for a sec.

So you thinkin just crappy fuel?

Stale fuel perhaps rather than crappy, particularly if you ran it on a higher octane like 98?

You've got me thinking now. I think I might have filled up with 98 last time.
The tanks nearly empty anyway so I'll dump it and give it a fresh lot tomorrow.

How confident are you that it's getting enough fuel? Could be a blocked jet.

Fresh fuel, and fresh plugs will work wonders.

Fuel is getting to carb and plugs are getting wet. Plugs have strong spark.

It's always been hard to cold start and has a tendency to over run when shutting off. Could the timing be out??

maybe a little bit too advanced, but try fresh fuel... it's easier than taking the carb apart

Is it a good strong spark from the coil lead, at the H/T leads & through each of the spark plugs? If spark weak, try a different coil.
If s/plugs to wet, there my be excess fuel sitting on top of the pistons, remove s/plugs, block fuel line & crank. Clean fuel from s/plugs with carb cleaner or try & heat them slightly with a lighter or butane torch. Otherwise try new plugs (maybe slightly hotter ones).
As Simon said try new fuel if been sitting for a while. (if su carb) Drain old fuel out of the fuel bowl & put new stuff in, then put rest in tank.

My K does the same thing every so often plenty of fuel and spark but will wet the plugs. have a look under the carb to see if the jet has returned fully after using the choke. on mine it was sticking down after the choke had been pushed back in. worth a look

So I changed the plugs and drained the fuel and managed to fire it up.
I couldn't give it to much throttle at first as it would brake down but seemed ok when it warmed up.

I decided to drive to the servo for a top up but as I pulled into there (3min later) it sounded like it dropped onto one cylinder. I managed to drive it home very slowly as it was braking down really bad. I probably should have pushed it home, it's not that far.

I found that with the motor running I can pull either lead off the centre two plugs with minimal effect to it running. Pull either of the outer leads and there is a very noticeable difference.
All plugs have good spark.
I'll check the compression tomorrow I think and give a different coil a go.

Try swaping and ignition lead from an outside to a central one

Could be just leads, also check your rotor cap

Put a meter on all the leads you cannot tell condition by looking at them.
If they measure over 5K ohm they are shagged, go buy some new ones.
