Has anyone done it? http://www.minisport.com.au/prod1916.htm Is that kit needed? I have a set of 1.3 rollertip rockers from Mini****t and only realised as i was setting clearances how "out" a few of the tips are... Just the tips... ![]() |

If the rollers do not cover the valve stems, the rockers need shimming or mods to move them. This `should' only be needed on exhausts, because the exhaust valve positions were moved on 1275 heads compared to smallbore heads (to fit the bigger valves in). Some makers supply a different set for smallbores only... I have also noticed that rollers can beat up the tops of the valves compared to regular rockers. Danny's inlet valves (almost new) were particularly bad, they had a radius worn into the end. But the rollers on the 1.3 rockers were still fine. |

Pull the rocker cover and look in from the front. The rollers don't have to be dead central on the valve stem but they should cover it. |
