| Post subject: | A couple of door questions... |
Hi All, just a couple of quick questions before i put my doors back together... How many of the little 'S' clips should be used to attach the chrome and rubber/rubber to the door, im guessing i need around 3 - 4 on both inside and out on both sides... so like 12 or 16 of the clips??? Are the standard door trim clips the way to go when attaching door cards? I was thinking it might be better to use 2 or maybe 4 stainless screws, or maybe just using the standard christmas tree clips? and finally... are clip on mirrors on the A Pillar or Quarter Light any good (visibility wise)? or am i better off screwing a mirror into the door skin? (I have no mirrors or screw holes atm so can go with any option) Thanks! |

The outer clip is 34G939 4 per door the inner clip that holds the felt and the chrome strip is a totally different clip HYA1512, 4 Per door ( although some people use the 34G939 for this ) Are the standard door trim clips the way to go when attaching door cards? Use New clips and new sockets and it will work fine, Clip HYA1860 Socket 14A8094 and finally... are clip on mirrors on the A Pillar or Quarter Light any good (visibility wise)? or am i better off screwing a mirror into the door skin? Not only that, he probably had a handful of each type of clip in his pocket.

does the chrome strip also get held on by this? do you just put this clip onto the door, put the rubber into the U on the inside... and the chrome over the bit thats on the door? or do i need another clip for the chrome? also, is there a gasket/rubber to put between the door panel and the outside handle? thanks! |
