Would like to see the ID plate.

Have never seen a 1971 Rover!

Its a UK Austin/Rover Mini with an Australian ID plate attached to the firewall.
Don't think that is very legal, the words " Re Birth " come to mind. Could turn out to be very big headache for the potential buyer.
Cheers Pete

Commonly found in Qld, doesn't make it legal though.

Nice car though, and not bad if you could get it for the starting price. I wouldn't tell anyone if you dont.

Sure the Police would not know the difference, but I wouldn't risk it though :D

Aren't they concessional/club/vintage/classic car number plates?

If so, does that mean a car club (and not necessarily QMCC?) has seen/inspected/approved this car for vintage/classic/concessional rego?

Yes concessional rego by the looks of it. Now who was doing the checks for the Mini Club. Was it a bloke who actually imported Jap minis?
I smell a rat.

The funny thing is it still has its original body plate from the early 80s on the slam panel! :D
