Ok, I just don't get it? With a complete new shell available, why on earth would you bother going to that much work?????

Yeah if you were several oceans away I could understand it but if you were in the UK?

Each to their own - I think fixing things is addictive, im sure he quite enjoyed the whole process and found it is very rewarding.
I wish I could do half of what he accomplished.

I can understand: If I had the time and a welder I'd repair a car before forking out a few thousand pounds for a new shell that probably isn't as well built.
