looking at changing my drum brakes on my car to a disk brake setup

looking at a 7.5" kit due to running 10" wheels

does any one know what the kits from mini sport in the u.k are like ??

couple of kits i have looked at are

http://www.minisport.com/mini-sport-x-d ... ipers.html

http://www.minisport.com/ms2680-disc-dr ... discs.html

anyone recommend which one to buy ??

leading towards the x drilled kit but if the other kit is just as good i will save a few bucks and go with the second

I brought the Minisport ones recently while in the UK only because they came already assembled and Minispares were out of stock of some parts.

2 issues I had -1st the balljoints were done up so tight they could not be moved without hooking a ring spanner over the bolt and applying a lot of lever force.2nd the ball joints were non-genuine (cheap- like $7 in a $1000 order) and not the $25 genuine. I have since purchased genuine from Minispares and yet to get around to changing them over.

I got the 7.5 inch kit from mini spares uk!
Along with an adjustable suspension setup to my front door for just over $800!
I can't fault mini spares at all, service was great and the brakes were here in 7 days!
Your welcome to check out the kit on my car if u like!
And test your wheels to make sure they clear before you buy!

Cheers, Rhys

I think this thread might have some relevant commentary for you:

http://www.ausmini.com/forums/viewtopic ... sc&start=0

The ball joint kits supplied by Mini Spares (and possibly others) is notorious for not having enough shims - use your own second handies or buy a shim kit to go along with your order.

I have 2 sets of the 7.9 minisport pre assembled kits and have had no issue. Just had another kit delivered for a customers car and they are all good too. Maybe some are assembled on a Friday arvo...
