MAN AM I PISSED OR WHAT!? My door was sagging, and I found it was because the top outside nut on my door hinges was loose. So I nudged the door up, and tightened the screw... only to have the head of the screw shear off. I thought, right, I'll get myself a tap and pull it out. Started to tap away... ONLY TO HAVE THE MOFO TAP BUST OFF TOO! So now I gotta find some new hinges...

Speaking of hinges/doors, how easy is it to convert a Clubman's external door hinges to internal ones?

You can still buy new hinges, but it's easier to get some old ones and put new pins & bushes in.
There's a how-to thread on here somewhere..

re fitting internal hinges to your Clubbie doors- no it's not worth it, IMO. Later UK door, A pillar, top of sill is all different.

I'll get my hands on some new (new or secondhand) hinges today, fix them up, then fit them.

I agree with you, Doc, in that it's easier to fit the hinges to the door, then fit the door onto the car, but what's the best way to line up the door properly? Any kinda trick at all? What I mean is, if you place the hinges on the door prior to fitting onto the car, where exactly do you position the hinges on the door (as there is a little room for adjustment)?

Just worry about getting the doors hung on as Makka says. You can slide it on the hinges to line up after. That's why they have little rubber gaskets in between... 8)

Sorry to hijack the thread but how hard would it be to convert morris mini panel van external hinges to internal ones because I am deseaming the van and it probably would look weird with external hinges and deseamed body so doc how hard is it but keep in mind I am preety mechanically minded (not trying to be modest)

IMO it would look weirder here in Oz, deseamed with internal hinges- it's an Oz Mini...
Go look hard at a Rover shell & doors, then tell me you still wanna do it...
Nothing is impossible, but I wouldn't even try! :?
