I am thinking about putting a 1275 into my countryman as I simply do not use it as the 850 is gutless as hell. Fine when you are up to speed but it just takes so long to get there.

I dont want to be chopping holes in the floor to change to rod or remote (fixed this hole when I restored it back to original!) but I do have a gearbox here from a K van. Am I right in thinking I can bolt a 1275 to this gearbox and use the original magic wand/pudding stirrer hole?

Thanks in advance

Can't answer that one, but I have seen some gear linkage kits (like say a KAD internal rod one) that use the 850 gearstick hole instead of needing a new one cut.

yep, as long as its a 22G1128 case it'll bolt right up

22G1128 should be cast into the front of the case on the passenger side above the ribs
