Post subject:  Panel Replacement Help

Hi everyone,

I need some advise on the order in which to do my rust repair on my Clubman (See Photo Below)

Image

I need to replace most of the floor pan as it is all dented up (Red Area) I have a full replacement panel including the inner sill. As you can see in the photo the door step (Pink Area) needs to be replaced and then I have the complete outer sill panel to replace.

The problem I have is deciding on which panel to replace first or should I just brace it all up and then cut the lot out.

Any help would be much appreciated.

If I was doing the job I would be fitting the door and getting the correct gap on three sides, ie front, rear and top and then fitting the sill ensuring that the sill is straight and true with the balance of the car. After which you can fit the floor into the space left. Doing it the other way may result in a door which does not fit the hole properly.
