Hi all,
Just about to install some minisport adjusta rides but I am wondering whether I need to install the plastic covers on the top as shown in pic, can somebody help please

Are you expecting the cone to fill with water and other crud and corrode from the inside out?

That would be the purpose of the cover.

Over a long time, the trumpets do get stuff in them.

Wasn't sure if they were just included for packaging, with them on and thread wound all the way in they don't sit nicely in rubber cone

You won't be able to have them wound all the way in when they are on the car. The car will ride high for the first little while but the cones should settle down and you'll need to wind them up so you can get over speed bumps.
