Guys I am in the process of trying to install one of these fantastic jobbies from minispares. However it seems to need a spacer under the thermo housing. Now I know I don't order the mpi one (which has a sandwich plate) so unless the item was in the wrong package where would I get a spacer from? Seems to be about a bit over half inch needed? Oh and I guess longer studs? Cheers Cj |

Ok now that i am home and not at work on my phone lets see if i can add a bit of info. Firstly I have a http://www.minispares.com/product/Classic/Engine/Stabilisers_mounts/Stabilisers/MSSK1300.aspx?100201&ReturnUrl=/shop/classic/Engine/Stabilisers,%20mounts.aspx|Back%20to%20shop which I am trying to fit to my 1275. On first look I expected it to go under the thermostat housing but that appears not to be the case ![]() That being said the hole for the exhaust stud still does not line up so either my thermo cover is higher than normal?? or the hole is in the wrong position...... Has anyone else fitted one of these? Secondly now i have sen the mount in place, it appears i would need to remove the exhaust stud anytime i needed to take the thermostat cover off ![]() ![]() cheers, CJ ps no idea why there is two topics from me on this???? |

I think the pommy thermostat (Rover) is different hieght and is held on by bolts not studs/nuts. I can measure my thermostat housing height (Rover 1275) if that helps. there's a few different housings. http://www.minispares.com/search/classi ... using.aspx |
