I believe most of the sloppiness in my magic wand can be blamed on the excessive gap around the selector shaft as it exits the housing and turns left. Is there supposed to be a bushing in there?

After a marathon session on Google, I've managed to find a photo that shows a bronze type bushing in place.

Now the fun part; anyone know the part number? Or even the length of the bushing? I have access to a massive workshop and associated suppliers so even making one or sourcing one locally shouldn't be too much trouble. I may even have one on the shelf.
