A friend of mine works for "Astor Metal Finishes" and i got it done
there. It costed me $250 for that all to get done, but it was a little
more expensive than usual cos i was lazy and couldnt be
bothered cleaning it all up, so i just put it in as i took it off, so it had
rust and all bits of carpet all over everything... Pure lazyness on my
part

That handbrake is a work of art 8)

Ummm, Have you looked into the dangers of chrome plating?

I would not be using chrome on any brake or suspension parts.

Chrome plating is banned in F1 racing!

How do you know those parts are fine?
They will pass rego. But will they be safe?

Chrome plating makes parts brittle and they can start to crack, but you can't see the cracks for the chrome.

How bling will the car look when the brake pedal snaps off?

(btw, I love the way you wrote break instead of brake because that is what could happen)

If the brake pedal is going to break its going to break.. Who actually inspects the pedals for crakcs?? I actually
feel safer know that the chrome might just hold the pedal together  The thought of the brake pedal actually
breaking had never crossed my mind, and im not to worried about it... But if it does brake im sure to let you know...

I really think that they will be fine.. i think the main concern with suspention parts and what not is the real pressure that they are under... so i don't see that the pedal will snap from normal use.....

Guys, chrome plating onto steel causes hydrogen embrittlement. Not a great idea on highly stressed steering or brake parts. Particularly if you would like to keep on steering or braking..
Of course, it does depend on what the part is doing. If under little stress it probably doesn't matter.
