Hello All, This is my first post ever, and I am looking for advice on how to stop my Moke's front wheels rubbing on full lock. A wheel rubs on both right and left lock. The car hasn't been put back on the yet after a protracted rebuild. Tyres are 175/70 on ROH sunraiser rims. Brakes/hubs are Moke discs and the steering arms are the ones that came with those hubs. lower arms and tie bars are standard. The suspension has good height and is sitting on new cones with standard alloy trumpets - there is no spacer washer fitted between the trumpet and the ball. The steering rack is new (minisport). I was wondering if I should put in limiters on the rack , the type you can get from KAD for Mini's with 13" wheels - this might fix it but doesn't make sense as the original mud and snow tyres would have been a much higher profile. I would be grateful for any guidance, thanks Scott

Didn't 13" mokes have a different rack with limiters. I know they did go close even when new.

that would make sense, I have had rub marks before on different mokes , but normally it can be put down to low suspension, wide tyres and only hitting when the suspension travels, thanks Scott

With stock tyres and rims they'll just clear. Although I think there is a 'rubbing' section on inner guard, for full lock over bumps protection. ?????

If you use a reco common Australian made Mini rack AYA6001, it has less lock than the common UK and aftermarket (now rubbish) ones.
See Mini King.

Its very common for it to happen on Mokes when the rubber cones get old and the suspension sags. Mine did it, then I had the rubber cones replaced and it was fine for a few years, now its doing it again.

It doesn't really matter, the patches under the guards where the paint gets rubbed off will stay shiny if you drive it reasonably often.

Could they be in the Magical Toowoomba warehouse of mini parts?

most likely is, but I bet it is well hidden and it is much easier to buy limiters
