Wouldn't be a Mini then, would it! ![]() The Poms used to make some (poverty models) with these windows fixed, obviously they don't get a real summer over there.. |

I've thought about it too - there's plenty of room beside the passenger seat for a mechanism, but I dunno if there is enough space for the glass to slide down - it's a big window.... corolla and XB falcon coupes etc. had little wind down windows in the back, along with plenty of others I'm sure |

I saw it done years ago using mechanisms from an RA23 Celica (I Think??). The rear pillars were widened to close the window hole down to a smaller size. |

Mine came for free with a $4000 Rover front cut ![]() Steve from Brickworx in Adelaide sells 2nd hand rover aircon kits and he sends stuff interstate all the time....probably your best bet. PM him --> http://www.ausmini.com/forums/profile.php?mode=viewprofile&u=657 |

The Rover Mini Cabrio had wind-up rear side windows.... I MIGHT have some detailed pictures here somewhere.... but I cant promise anything. Hmm... actually, those windows weren't normal shape either.... Maybe you'll need to do a 2 piece window... a triangular bit at the back that is fixed into position with a channel up the front edge, and a square window between that and the B-pillar that winds up along the channel. Just look at most 4 door cars... you'll see what I mean. You may only have enough room for a narrow winding window - just the front half. Not impossible, but definately difficult... |

Ive got a mini limo on a video or DVD here somewhere.... it has worm-gear drive electric motors that open and close the normal rear side windows, via dash mounted controls. Only problem is - the motors are huge - they look like oversized back seat head rests. ![]() |
