I am thinking of getting new hydrolastic pipes. is it possible to semi lower a rear sub frame to allow for the pipe to be feed through? I have access to hoists etc... |

Should be easy enough, especially with hoist. We used to just re-route pipes under frame. |

lowering the subframe far enough to get the hydro pipes out would mean undoing everything else, so you might as well remove it completely... same goes for the front subframe, pretty hard to get them out without taking the subframe out, even harder to put new ones in without making a mess I reckon at least one subframe needs to come out completely |

You couldn't get it down more than 1/2" without taking that brake line off the proportioning valve. If you didn't undo it, you'd be bending it down at a nasty angle, and risk having it rub against the floor when you put it back up It's one of those jobs where the easiest way is to do it the proper way, trying to cut corners will make a mess and you'll end up wishing you'd done it properly to start with |
