I have access to a 649 camshaft for a 1275 mk1 cooper s . What is the genera view of this camshaft?? Good, bad OK - Help!!!

i had a 648/9 in a 1220 imp pistoned 1100 motor with 12G940 head, awesome cam for a big reving engine and gave great power when i had a 42mmweber on it too :lol:

Thanks, Mine engine is now a 1310 and I ave a 45mm dellorto, so this cam souds like it should be OK.

Yeah they went well, I had a works 544 cam in a 1220 motor like Grant's, had twin HS4s and it was good too.
But these days, you can get the same or more power, with better road manners. Talk to Russell Engineering... :wink:
