I picked up block yesterday - thick flange 1275+40, cleaned, bored, decked and honed + cam bearings and welch plugs, painted - then left outside for a couple of years. It cleaned up well - some surface rust on the bores but a light hone should fix that. Came with +40 Mahle pistons (fc), rods (gc), large journal nitrided crank (rusty, needs grinding - offset for a stroker?) lightened flywheel (bit dodgy). That's when i realised it's an auto block  - fairly easy to convert and ready to build, but does anyone want an unmodified auto in good nick? I'll let the lot go for $750 if you pick up or arrange freight (Sunshine Coast QLD), or it will become a mean 1360/1380

PS someone pointed out that as a dipstick hole, so may not be an auto, but it does have the recessed oil pump housing and no internal connection to the relief valve. Looks like the space plate and appropriate drilling would do the trick, but I'd rather not cut into it if someone would like an original (whatever it is)

pps some interest, but will keep it for now and investigate conversion. thanks
