There are nyloc nuts on the swivel joints that attach to the steering arms on the hubs - when you screw down and start to engage the nylon lock bit the spindle turns - how do you hold it to do it up?

Use a jack to apply a little pressure underneath the steering arm ball joint. This will lock the taper in enough to do the nut up.
