So I've recently installer a 2 gauge cluster in my clubman and only the temp gauge light lights up whereas the Speedo light doesn't. Is there a separate wire to both of them? As I have checked all the bulbs

sometimes the printed circuit on the back cracks and either has to be replaced or repaired with thin wires soldered on. I assume the bulbs are ok? Also, i don't know if you have them but the led replcaements are current direction sesitive.

Yeah bulbs are fine and I don't have led so in guessing it's the printed circuit

I have a good 2 gauge cluster that I know everything works on, may be a easier fix then getting your circuit board repaired. In adelaide

Was just thinking of swapping the Speedo into a good working three cluster. Would that work?

you can buy the whole circuit board from Minisport as well, but it probably be cheaper to buy a new cluster, i picked 1 up off ebay for about $30.

If you like, and you can use a soldering iron, ou can solder jumper wires across any cracked PCB tracks.

You can go pad to pad, or expose a covered strip of copper and solder to that.

Easy to do if you have the correct mounting bracket for the three dial cluster.

Check where the plug inserts into the dash as the metal can lift and skew/bend and not connect also.
Cheers Rob

Does anyone have a mounting bracket for the three cluster? That's what I'm lacking atm

You need a low watt iron if your gonna solder it other wise the tracks come off the plastic

The original printed circuits are not designed for soldering bits of wire to. As soon as you heat them up the strips or tracks separate from the backing material. Do yourself a favour and buy a new Flex PC it is a better and safer way of fixing a problem like this.

Works fine, and what are you going to do if it doesn't. Replace it anyway.

Have the wire bright shiny and pre-tinned. Dab some solder onto the track and then bring the two together using barely enough heat to melt the solder. No longer.

I'll probably just buy another one. Sounds like a safer way to go about it. But thanks for the advice none the less
