Hi all
I have a new mini (new to me anyway).
I think its a 1964 850.
The VIN plate has:-
TYPE YMA2S1
See explanation from Morris 1100 belowCar no 55777
This is your car's build number - if JRA had not destroyed the records you would have been able to look it up using this
Engine No 8Y/U/H16190
See explanation from Morris 1100 belowColour 1/NURBURG WHITE/3

The 1 means "Enamel" and the "3" is berger ... as per
http://www.elevenhundred.com/colours.phpStamped in the Radiator cowl is a circle with M2 and a 15 stamped in it.
M2 is the 850 body style number - think of it as the part number for the bodyBeside this is the number 56063
This is the serial number of the body (not the assembled car - see above)Can anyone explain all this please.
Regards
Phil
