Post subject:  Wheel bearing problem on front drums

Front wheel bearings have been replaced on both sides of a project car and when any torque is applied to the hub nut, the wheels are very tight to spin. Still stiff even at finger tightness. Bearings well greased before insertion and spacers also in. Any clues? Not had this problem previously except when the spacer has been left out.

Got the collar that slides onto the flange and sits against the outer bearing? Is it or the flange worn? The inside of the hub worn?

Is it definitely the bearing getting tight, or is it the flange or cv joint rubbing? It's not something silly like a cv boot rubbing on the inside of the hub? The driveshaft rubbing against the lower control arm pin?

Otherwise is it just the wrong thickness bearing spacer?
