Hey guys.

My 1275 in my van getting a bit tired so im about to pull it out to refurb at a later date since it will be going into my deluxe when it is finished.

I got a couple of 1098 engines here both have no cylinder heads.

What would be the best head to source.

Not after great performance but coming from a 1275 would like a bit.

Cheers in advance.

Rodney

Best head for a 1098 (or 998) is a 12G295. If you can find one.. and if you do, crack test before purchase.
If not, grab a 202 head and get bigger valves fitted, reshape the chambers and port it a bit.
GR had a post here or in the mods forum recently on modding 202 heads.

Cheers doc. A 202 would be easier to find than a 295 and cheaper.

If you stuff up a 202 there are plenty more around. Neither me or my father hordes mini parts but there'd have to be more than 10 laying around by accident :p
