A great effort. Rain drops on shiny paint always has a special crisp sparkle. It must be satisfying to have
almost finished (it's never finished).
And just think - tomorrow morning when you open the garage, there will be a special present
waiting for you again!

Actually is water from hose, it's dry as a crisp here atm. Had to wash dust off for the pictures. :o)

It's my rover 'cooper s', 1995 SPI. There's still heaps to finish but I was determined to have it 'out' by today. Oh, and Bill B, I've been banned from the shed tomorrow. :o(

Looks fantastic - love the round tail light conversion. I'm curious, how does that work with reversing lights, as I'd imagine they're required, being a 95..? And what's the rear badge from - it looks 1275GT, but it doesn't appear to say 'GT' at the end of the 1275..? Nice work with the Aussie boot lid, too. It's very understated and clean - congrats. :)

I didn't want to make cooper s clone, just to get the retro cooper style. A ridgey didge cooper s is out of my budget capabilities so I went the next best thing.

Tadhg, the reverse ligts are hidden under back, 2 super single led's, same with high level stop light, it's led's in back screen, the badge is a 'sticky fingers' one from UK, they'll put anything you want on them. I'm very happy how it's turned out, didn't want to go over board, twin tanks etc, I was after the "There goes a cooper s" reaction from the general public, that's all. Merry christmas to all.

I actually bought it as wreck and a spares car, spent way too much time and money on it but it's come out very well as far as I'm concerned. Now, if I can just get the bloody side moulds on I'd be a lot more happy. :x

Looks magnificent! Good luck with the side moulds, particularly if you want the super tricky Cooper S moulds. Ive always given up and had my Mini mechanic (Link Automotive) put them on for me. They've always done a brilliant job. Love the red!
