hi there, I am after a pump and fluid to top up the suspension on my mini. Can I buy the fluid in Perth anywhere or would I need to order online. also where can I get the pumps from.

Failing that is there anyone on here willing to lend me there's if I get the car to there place. I am in Perth but the car is currently in Albany. A long shot but if there is anyone in either town that would be good. I am happy to pay.

Matt

Failing that you can buy a pump off ebay, mine is a converted grease gun. Takes a bit longer than with a proper pump but it does the job. You can use a rad coolant mix for fluid, all manner of different recipes to be found on google that work fine too. I do have a drum of proper hydro fluid here.

thanks very much mate, the car is currently in Albany that's where I bought it from will be coming up on trailer on Monday hopefully. I live in Carramar so that will work. I have also been looking to making my own with a grease gun, it does look simple enough. and I've seen the one on eBay to from uk. but that will mean a wait to get it here. where did you get the fittings for the grease gun. did you use a Air chuck as this is what one of the guys called his fitting he got.

thanks again mate, its much appreciated.

I will keep you posted

Matt , here's a pic of the grease gun type pump that i made a few yrs ago , consists of an el-cheapo grease gun with the arse-end pulled out of it , a couple of fittings to suit , and the chrome end piece is a valve that they use to pump water into tractor tubes , that i bought from our local tyre centre for $35 .

Mine is the one from the uk off ebay. I just bought another one as when I went to use the last one the lever had rusted tight and wouldnt pump. If the car is drivable bring it over tuesday night, if not I can come to you and we can pump it up at your place. I will send you a pm with my address and ph number.
