Post subject:  Late model replacement master cylinders

Has anyone had a problem with this method of fixing the master cylinder to its mounting flange?

I would expect this to have a bead of weld or braze about it the whole way around. It does have a tack of weld on the other side however.

Looks like the first pic weld didnt take to well and come off id take it back to where you brought it

If thats a clutch cylinder mine looks the same the brake one has no welds
My welds look like the first pic but no crack

My mate just replaced his and has noticed the plastic cap has a massive crack right through it!

i welded it at work. should work fine now. i got the cylinder bnew for 40$ I knew there was a crack anyway thats why it was cheap. lol should be all good now!!
