Mini is currently in the paint shop & something I might have overlooked.

A new boot floor is in place & I noticed there is no hole for the fuel tank drain.

Is the hole necessary, if so can anyone provide a reference or dimension for the location of the hole.

Next time mine comes out it will get a 3/8 UNF grubscrew there instead.
If you need to drain the tank it's easier to just siphon it than fight with that damned drain.

[edit] typo

Just had a look a my boot floor since im in the shed. Im guessing the drain is located behind the wheel arch. If so I apologise but I have already cut out that section.

the tank has a boss on the base of it that would (probably) hit the floor if the hole wasn't there

put the tank in and mark it
