Post subject: | Rod change exhaust mount |
Hi all, I've plonked the engine back into the car and got it all running nicely, but I went to go and tighten up the exhaust and found that I'd forgotten to put the lower exhaust mount back onto the gearbox. Problem is, I can't for the life of my figure out where it goes now! It probably doesn't help that when I took it off there was about an inch of oil and mud caked on... Does anybody have any pics, or can you describe exactly how it mounts to the gearbox? |

John Smidt wrote: Bolts To the side of the gearbox, and you use the bolts that hold Your diff side covers to the diff housing and the gearbox case That's what I thought, but I can't see how the bolts line up, or the position it is supposed to be in. Is there more than one piece of the bracket? |

I've found this site: http://www.moke.com.au/in-the-garage/re ... eplacement Which has a few pictures - I can see some bolts missing where the exhaust has been moved to the side. I'll just need to get the bracket out again and play around a bit. I just couldn't position it anywhere where the bolts would line up last time. |
