Do a search! I'm pretty sure you won't be disappointed!
I'm actually quite surprised that after 58 post here on Ausmini you don't know who is he!

Cheers Shane

only problem is the owner has no proof so I might give Russell a call to see if he knows the car

Graham Russell does not often build whole cars for customers. He would most likely sub out some of the work to Mini Classic (Greg Malaure) if he did. Graham specialises in building engines and machining components thereof. He has a machine shop and engine dyno.

So knowing this, and without any receipts to prove it, it is most likely that the car you are looking at has either a Russell Engineering camshaft, modified head or whole rebuilt engine. These would be a good thing but there is no way to tell by looking at the engine in those photos.

Regardless, it looks like a pretty decent Leyland with some late model Rover seats fitted. If it runs well and there is no evidence of rust, if the price is right for you, go for it.

cheers
michael

get rid of that POS air filter - I can just about see how dusty it is, if it doesn't have oil in it, it's completely ineffective and dust will wear the engine out in a very short time

I Know the Car and It Was fitted with a Graham Russell engine and head
and if it has not been changed You will find it very impressive
I have not seen the car for a couple of Years but when I last saw it
