I have two rear windows from LS/SS Mini's (I think) with the demister strips but the copper contacts that the wires connect to have come off the glass/demister strips (and have been lost). Dos anyone know of any way of repairing these?

If the heating element is still on the window, and you can see where the connections went. You can carefully scrap clean the tracks and resolder the wires.
