Hi guys I was looking at removing the engine in my 76 clubman, respraying the engine bay and block and putting new go fast chrome bits on it once i was done. I realise it would make the whole process easier if i left it to an experience mechanic to pull out the engine but I'm not too sure if its my pride or stupidity thats lead me to this decision but id love to do the engine removal myself. Im kinda fresh when it comes to working on minis so i was hoping that i could have some guidance as to which way to remove it. What is the best way, things to look out for and what not to do. Im sure this has been discussed on the forum before but i haven't had a chance to run through every thread so if there was a step by step that someone has already posted id love the link if possible. Thanks for any help you could provide :D

There is a excellent thread by doogie on here in the how to section. Lots of pictures to make it easie.r it's not technically difficult, just time consuming.
