Does anyone else have the problem of having to regularly replace flasher units for the indicators? It seems like I have to replace them every couple of years. I reckon I would have replaced more flasher cans than just about any other part in all my Minis over the years. I had to put another one in the Moke the other night. The one that was in there was only fitted about 18 months ago, and its not like the Moke does high mileage.

I've tried a range from the cheapest car accessory shop ones, through to expensive semi-electronic ones. The one I've fitted now is a good quality electronic one that was left over from re-wiring the Traveller, I'll see how it goes.

i've replaced mine once in the 11 years I have had the car. I replaced it in the first 2 months.

Sounds like you have another problem?

3 pin. I think the one I just pulled out was a Tridon, the style with the round aluminium body and the raised labelling on the end. I'll track down an HD13 and keep it on hand for when the electronic one dies. I wish I knew what I was doing to them.
