Post subject: | MECHNACIAL FAULT?, timing? |
I was wondering if sombody can help. Timing is up the crap, and i cannont work out why, the car will not RUN. I origionaly thought it may have being the webers but i have tryed a multitude of carbies and it is no better. I have: Set the tapit clearance. Timed the dizzy replaced all ignition system, plugs points leads etc. Replaced the carbie with a single 1 3/4su (this thing cannont f*&k up) The car will not run and clearly sounds like it is fireing when it shouldent. Could it be a mechnical fault, the engine has done less that 1000km since rebuild. compression is 160psi on all 4 pots. I was thinking it could be a mechnical falure, but i am, really not sure, |

ummm....I think people here might need a little more info.... for example, do you have a non-std camshaft and has it been dialled in? have you checked that the distributor isn't 180 degrees out?? stuff like that.....the more you can tell peeps the better... when was the last time it ran OK?? what have you done since then??? ![]() |
